KBLSS was founded in Brisbane in 2006 by a small group of language lovers who noticed that there weren’t many Asian language courses available in Brisbane.

Fun fact: Kawabe Learning Studio is now KB Lingual Studio, because it’s easier to remember and to say. In the original Japanese, Kawabe is pronounced “Ka-wa-beh”, but this is often twisted by the Australian accent into “Ka-wa-bee”.

We have two studios – one in Indooroopilly, and the other in Carina. Alternatively, our language classes can be run in your own home or in another alternative environment of your choice. We offer both group learning (for registration, please see current course) and private tutoring . That way, there’s something to suit everyone!
